My point is the company is saying all the right things, and backing the crew actions, it would be nice if the colleagues did also, instead of Monday Morning Quarter backing the crew, which is disheartening IMHO.
However you seem to have missed the the main thrust of the post which was Mr Cedars bad idea of leaving the Flight Deck on a 2 crew airplane with an upper deck with smoke and a strong smell. It may work for a 737 or A320 but not in this circumstance...and at the end of the day we do not know what the crew did, maybe they did go back and still decide to evacuate.
