I've got a lot of work experience with leading teams and communicating with various sets of people so was able to give good, honest examples for all interview questions. I think that's what did it.
FWIW the current issue of the BA in-house magazine has an article about the recruitment process and places much emphasis on the fact they were looking for the "softer skills", as they put it, they weren't simply looking to recruit Biggles...
(Probably because it's an "in house" publication I can't find a link to paste here - maybe somebody with better IT skills may be able to provide the same...it's a shame because it certainly a piece that may be if interest to many here) .
