Graham Dukes is fairly comprehensive (at a basic-ish level), and is especially relevent to the UK. If i was you, i'd just read one more thoroughly instead of skimming through 3, and dukey boys is probably a good choice, and is cheapish, and i'm fairly sure waterstones stocks it.
