I had 5 e-mails on my Outlook express. Each one was a btinternet.com address. Only one of them wasn't spammed to bits.
All come from America, peoplepc.com and ameritech.net are the domains most of them came from. I was getting quite a few so i downloaded Mailwasher in a bid to thwart it all. No such luck. Seemed too get worse after using that like they distributed the 'bounced' e-mails around all and sundry as it started to get really bad. I have now got rid of them all except one and that seems ok so far.
Doesn't seem like there is anything anyone can do to stop it. BT don't want to know and won't do a thing about it and i had one e-mail from the ameritech people saying that spam is becoming harder to control and a number of suggestions how to deal with it.
What can you do to stop it other than change your address every month or so........
