Not sure how you surmised that from my post but it certainly isn't what I said.
I was
not referring to RN SAR - they do an excellent job as do the civSAR types - I was referring to the idea that a Lynx crew with little or no SAR training are going to have anything like the capabilities of a front line RN SAR crew.
Yet the assumption is that as SAR is a secondary role we can put the Lynx crews into the same professional bracket as the SAR crews.
