Aviation history of the past 2 decades has shown that there has been no dearth of F/Os in the supply chain but ALWAYS a dearth of Commanders. And as more aircrafts are added to fleets worldwide this ratio will only increase, more so in the fast growth regions.
Because with news such as this more wannabes will join the bandwagon increasing the glut of F/Os waiting to get to the right hand seat of shiney jets which could take years, while transiting onto the left hand seat for those already employed takes even longer...........
