Don't you love these "experts" who relentlessly warn about shortages? And everywhere around the world, mindless dumb kids (and parents) will stop at nothing in hope for that premium airline job that has been serving as a carrot to all.
Please search through the forums, read some of the most enlightening postings by many who had already gone through the hoops and loops.
There is no shortages, it is just how they (the airlines) chose to manage their manpower. I hear it all the time, "ya trust me mate this is it, we have been talking about it, it's finally here, the shortages".
A real shortage is when airlines, big or small, will get you onboard with type and training paid, that's how we did it in our times. Right now to name so many shoddy airlines still milking all the wannabes simply make me sick.
Let's not even get started with experienced crew market. 90% of us are still here in the sandpit flying 90hours with no significant pay increase in absolute terms, if you take into considerations inflation.
Wake up boys, it ain't gonna happen, definitely not in my lifetime.
