I know a guy who was accepted as an FO by Cathay an placed in the pool. They dissolved the pool and he re-interviewed and was accepted as an SO. He turned down the offer.

I think Cathay will have to DRASTICALLY change their hiring plan in the next 1-2 years, as the pilot shortage accelerates.
