The foreign office website has contained that information for at least the last 8 months. I should know, I checked them often enough whilst working with you.
I don't know about other Brits working abroad, but I feel as safe, if not safer here, than I would in Central London.
As with anywhere in the world, vigilance is essential, but not just for Brits, for all nationalities.
