Arik amongst other Nigerian operators are rather short on spare parts, than on decent flight crews.
Aicrafts are usually
PARKED, because these people are not capable to stock serviceable tires, brakes and other parts subject to regular wear and tear !!!
MEL items are getting extended by local authorities for several times, as long as "the envelope" comes together with the extension application, resulting in aircrafts flying with u/s APU's for month !!!
