What the,
Let us say that you have an airline and you have 100 pilots each doing 80 hours per month at $100 per hour, then the total cost of that flying is $800,000 per month.
Now you increase pilot productivity by 22%. You will then have 82 pilots doing the work, doing 97.6 hours per month at $100 per hour. The remaining pilots work more and earn more money ( $9760 pm instead of $8000); 18 pilots have to go somewhere else for a job; and there is no saving in salary or wages to you and your airline.
Where are the real dollars?
Now if your pilots were on a salary and did the extra hours for no extra money --there's real dollars.
