Unfortunately Jetstar NZ has just based its contract on the legal minimums set out in the Employment Relations Act her in NZ (which is crap in most areas). 5 sick days is just the national requirement under the law. It is nowhere enough, as you say ONE cold or flu in the year and you are out of sick leave for the remainder
