I, too, have had a similar problem with H**mail, and reprofiled myself on the stupid Live/Messenger thing. The account recovery was tortuous, as I couldn't remember anything I'd sent from H**mail - I rarely do, as it's used almost exclusively for incoming mail.
I now have a G**gle mail account as well - much nicer.
