I usually plan my "shopping experience" before I get to the airport - it usually consists of a newspaper and maybe a chocolate bar and a couple of bottles of water at the gate. If I buy duty-free it's onboard inflight and cheaper. Any spare time I have is usually spent nursing a couple of whiskeys.
