What's the benefit of having based aircraft ?
One could argue Dublin airport is only
airport that one can justify based aircraft as
other airports dont have year round viable
routes to operate based aircraft on to full
utilisation.
Minister Varadkar is recently quoted losses
from both Cork and SHN as unsustainable..
One can only surmise that extended operating hours
to support base operations is a major contributor
to these losses as well as high operating costs
