I promise you the 6 months in Phoenix will be the best of your life. Learning to fly a couple of hours early in the day (awesome in its self) followed by chilling in the US for the rest of the time! Amazing weather, BBQs most days, road trips to Vegas, LA, San Diego, Grand Canyon. I miss it
