Crapola, go and read your owner handbook for your car, I have, it will state something to the effect;
"The oil level & coolant should be checked at least weekly"....
and more often if used in extreme operating conditions (My wording following.ie. Such as a car driving in the outback or aircraft flying non-stop across the Pacific or Indian Oceans. .).
Just People being lazy or ignorant..
