CP has a nice heart, just has never been allowed to do his job by k.rusel the luv muscle.

It is quite common in small aviation business - owner hires in people who will do what they are told and not rock the boat, then tries to micro-manage the entire operation. Good thing is most chief engs work that out eventually and have the fortitude to tell him to get f*cked. Pity the CP hasn't told owner same thing.

Owner spends so much time trying to not spend a cent on maintenance, it ends up costing him a fortune (break downs away from base, etc. etc.) This guy has not worked out (after so many years) the more money you spend on maintenance, the less it costs (ie pay the money to do it right the first time and it costs less than taking the cheap arse approach 5 times over). This is how they have lost a lot of their prime contracts - aircraft constantly going U/S.

Check your super quarterly with your fund, and report it to the ATO immediately if it is not being paid.

When they run out of money on pay day (don't laugh, happens all the time), they will pay all staff other than pilots. Expect calls from the bank as to why you have defaulted on mortgage payments (ie pay slip says you have been paid, when you haven't).

Hotel rooms for overnights are often denied when checking in because the account hasn't been paid. Don't pay on your own credit card and expect reimbursement - wont happen. The only way to get them to pay for a room on the company credit card is to threaten them if you don't have a room you are getting in the plane and flying it home empty so you have a bed to sleep in. Suddenly the money will be there.
