Prior to the introduction of vacuum toilets they used blue liquid to flush the toilet.
Hence the Blu Lagoon, Blu Loo Blu Room etc....
Looked great when the toilet access valve on the side of the aircraft did not seal correctly and the aircraft had a bright Blue stain down the rear fuselage after landing!
