Any reason that they should? If you had the choice between an experienced pilot and a newbee, particulatly in a fast expanding Airline that needs to be able to upgrade people in a relativley short time, who would YOU choose?
I do feel for you, but we've all been there. But once you have gained some experience and ARE the high-time pilot, I'm sure you'd be p1zzed off if you missed out on a job you wanted in favour of someone less qualified.
