I too sense a bit of pilot bashing here, and I'm going to take the bait as well.
With regards to 737 over A319, well 2 very different a/c. I think the main problem that people have with the Airbus is that it is fly-by-wire and of course the whole side stick debate. Much of the argument between the 2 a/c types has been based on the 737 being the proven workhorse of the industry, it being robust, reliable etc. Having worked on the 737 (as cabin crew) I found the aisles wide enough!
The thing is, changing from 1 a/c type to another is difficult. Add to this the fact that the way an A319 responds to control inputs is radically different to a 737 then you will always get disagreements. I agree that the whole 'if it aint Boeing I aint goin' attitude is outdated, but so is slagging off flight deck in the rear galley. So, Danny I hope you were just letting off steam and will pay more attention at your next CRM course!!
