I still have the one and only SD hat, only ever had one
I had many but my favourite one was so bashed up it did not meet with approval. I had a meeting with the Stn Cdr on one occasion and he demanded that I should place it in his waste paper bin. I said no problem but then I would have to wear my second best one. I was allowed to retrieve it. He was not aware that I did actually have a pristine one which I wore when in the presence of really important people or their wives of course
