Blueislands - not competitive
We all know that the reason for BOH's passenger numbers in recent years has been the result of LCC development.
This is because of SOU's close proximity and their focus on business and high frequency.
So why would an airline charge more to fly from BOH on smaller aircraft and with an inferior frequency?
Fly out on Mon 1st Nov and return 3rd and you find the following fares:
BOH 148 return - Blue islands J-31
SOU 146 return - Blue islands J-31
SOU 85.98 return - Flybe Dash 8
This BOH route will struggle to get more than 50% load factor, with a high chance of failure in the first year if they do not address this issue.
It should be a minimum of a daily service with a 50 seat a/c so as to get the fares more in line with the competition.
What use is an additional 250 pax per month for BOH?!
