TBM700 Forced Landing near KFLL

On October 12, local media reported that a TBM700 made a forced landing on the Florida Turnpike while en route to a nearby airport, North Perry. Two occupants, one of which was a French pilot (PIC) employed by Socata, the aircraft manufacturer, were hospitalized. Local media quoted a NTSB official as saying that the pilot reported an "engine failure" to the North Perry control tower prior to the forced landing. Aircarft basically TAFU. Photo from the "Sun-Sentinel" newspaper website, taken prior to the spraying of foam on the aircraft, shows no fuel on the pavement even though both wings are bent/cracked at their midpoint.
