I'm a MAN fan and I think there are too many LPL fans who constantly have a cheap dig at the bigger airport situated 35 miles or so down the M62. That said, I think that article is complete rubbish. LPL isn't that bad at all. Sure, the queue for immigration can be a nightmare at certain points of the day but other than that I have never had a problem at John Lennon. My partner's "non aviation nut" complaint is that it doesn't have the airport buzz that MAN does.
