This guy was apparently in the US since late 70's or early 80's, attended Texas A & I university (Now part of the Texas A & M system) but did not graduate (got a degree somewhere else) was a small businessman of various successes and failures, and for one reason or another, ended up back in Iran in about 2010.

Why he'd be messing about with Mexican narco gang and cartels remains an interesting motivation, but the people who knew him in Corpus Christi, Texas, suggest one very simple motivation: money. You can read comments on him at the web site for the Corpus Christi Caller Times. (www.caller.com)

Maybe some of those folks had other motivations.

I noticed that on the Skynews web page a bunch of idiots assert that this is a "false flag" by the CIA. Also see comments like "US has been itching to invade Iran."

Actually, no. It appears that stupidity in the UK is as common as pints in a pub.
