AFAIK the only groups of people who legally can't strike (or are restricted from doing so) are the emergency services. Is the Minister seriously considering similar legislation for airline workers? What about rail workers, bus workers, the list goes on... Maybe no-one will be allowed to strike, because by its nature a strike has economic implications.

The FWA already restricts strikes to very specific occasions. Any futher restriction in the interests of big business would be a serious infringement of the workers' right to withdraw their labour, and I can't believe that a so-called Labor government would even suggest it. You expect the Libs to be pro big business, but these guys are supposed to be worker-friendly. Obviously not anymore .

P.S. I do like the Jetstar no baggage fee collection action. Great idea and very good PR as far as the customers are concerned.
