These two announcements must be sending a shiver or two down BAAs back, owners of Southampton Airport. SOU, presumably, has been trying to get a low cost carrier in and has, so far, failed. Coupled with the reduction in passenger numbers (despite increased charter flights) post Setember 11th, is the end now in site for this airport, as it seems to have peaked in terms of popularity?
