Your piece about the CO's speech at Kirton made me laugh (although I know I shouldn't). It's sounds like a scene straight out of Monty Python. I can picture the assembled squad ready to pass off, then this officer making a speech about the fatality rate, and spoken with a speech impediment, and everyone looking around at each other !!
