According to Wiki America had 28 fixed wing combat losses during Desert Storm alone, mostly ground fire plus one possible F18 air to air loss. Unless Bloomberg are talking about air to air losses only but then you could ask how many air to air losses has the RAF had in the last 40 years (Jaguar not included) as well as other nations such as Germany and France. One things for sure, if they don't update / upgrade their potential adversaries will!
