A few days ago, I read an opinion article reflecting the real situation of Corvera Airport:
5th-October-2011
We have an airport that is owned by a private company (Aeromur = Sacyr + Caja Murcia + CAM...), but asking to be exploited by the state (AENA) "because he has the experience to do", which also has support by the regional administration, because it has the means to do it (the regional government of Murcia with a guarantee of 200 million euros) and just give to a private company (Aeromur) clients of a public airport, close, cheap and not subsidized (Murcia San Javier). If this is not state aid and market distortion, someone explain.
So far, it sounds a government rescue and waste, remaining the question about who pays, if the citizens of Murcia or all Spanish citizens.

the earliest would be in October 2012 due to important changes which must be made in the Air Navigation Plans of San Javier, Alcantarilla, El Altet and Corvera.
