Yes, the advice was from someone who grew up in Maun and has worked for more than one of the charter companies.
I feel that my cabin crew experience will be of benefit to the pilot role in Maun, but if the employers and the pilot community are likely to think differently, then maybe it is best to leave it off my CV. I've heard of CVs being passed around town for entertainment purposes so I'd like to avoid becoming a laughing stock like this. I don't want to negatively influence my chances of getting a job just because of one of my past jobs.
