What SEngO may have been too embarrassed to mention was the immaculate radome.
They came back from Bitteswell resplendent in black/white/grey/green and all the lines lining up. In short order they finished up with the horizontal line at a different level from the fueslage, some were just white and black, and so on.
There must have been someone in the radome bay (
) whose job it was to ensure that no radome was returned to its original airframe.
