Bad surprise in OEJN
I fly for an owner on a privately operated C525. We are a small operation and
therefore I have no crew tag, CMC or anything similar. Recently, we landed in OEJN and Jet Aviation demanded a crew certificate on arrival otherwise a fine of 10'000 riyal (around 2500 USD!!!) would be imposed. Pilot's licence was not accepted as "proof". Luckily, I had a copy of a CMC of my former company with me, where I left 2 years ago and they accepted it (btw, they would also have accepted an AOPA membership card...)... We continued to OEDF and OERK (fbo also jet aviation there), where no such demand was made.
Any similar experiences around the globe?
Cheers
Cecco
