I went out about four years ago when they were flying Liberty aircraft.
The ground school is a one to one with a computer with no effective instructor input. I had one instructor who left the day before I was due to finish to join the airlines, he had taken me through the syllabus without ensuring that I had grasped everything and did not use all of my time effectively in my opnion.
I did the hours in the alloted time because I was lucky with the weather, but many there on PPL training had extended their stays.
I did the written exam there and came back to the UK (Wycombe Aero Club) and did it there. They had a simulator that worked (OBA's did not) and a number of instructors who were able to relate to my (slow) learning capacity.
The XL 2 was a lovely little aircraft.
