At CTC I managed to keep it in the centre most of the time. The idea is that you improve each time you do it, you normally get 3 goes with various simulated wind components, there is also one where the operation is inverted eg left is right.
I can't remember the threshold, but I am pretty certain anything above a 7 (out of 10) is a pass.
