You say not all live in Mid Levels, true. Ok try Tung Chung. The end of the train line, where there is not much to do at all unless your a chinese retiree, you not going to get much change from 20,000 per month for rent.Take that out of the miserable salary, some schooling, high cost of living, and you wont save that much. An F/O only makes about 65,000 before tax.

Think about it carefully before making the move.

Another thing to consider. The air pollution will kill your family or severely reduce the life expectancy if you do 5 or 10 years here.
