I joined the company in August 1978. After I had done my base checks at Aberdeen (I was already licenced on the 330) the Aberdeen aircraft disappeared off to Teeside to replace the S58s. A couple of very pleasant detachments to Teeside followed and then I was shipped off to Sumburgh for a fortnight.
"We want you to do 2/1 at Sumburgh."
"How do you spell British Airways Helicopters?"
"OK, carry on with Teeside."
