A fighting bull lives al life that any other bull would envy:
I have heard all the fatuous pathetic arguments that the Spanish come out with to defend their ritualised cruelty to bulls. All the rubbish about it leading a wonderful life, the meat being given to the poor, it's an art and a tradition, I've heard it all.
The reality is that the animal is led into a ring where it is taunted, tortured, and jeered at whilst the bloodthirsty spectators get a thrill. It may or may not be killed, death in any case is a relief, or it may be led off, knowing that it will have to go through the same again until one day it is killed.
So what if the French torture bulls too? So do the Portuguese and other nations. Does that make it acceptable?
You are trying to defend the indefensible.
