Branson has lost interest IMHO in aviation as far as Virgin Atlantic is concerned as he knows full well it is a loss leader. Pitiful financial results for many years and if he could offload his 51% he would do so if there were any takers.
He is into banks and other financial services which is where he sees the future and continued subsidies on his railways.
