used to stay with him on many an occasion in Kaviang when he ran the hotel there for awhile
Don't recall him running a pub in Kavieng, but he did run the Sepik Motel in Wewak (aka the "Skull Cave"), and later a pub in Kieta. He also spent time in the Solomons running the Mendana.
