Yeah, I was based at Kiunga March-April 1971 on the Kiunga-Ningerum shuttle. Stayed at the "haus pig". Did enjoy it as it was my first twin experience.
We also managed a few trips to Olsobip, Telefomin, Nomad River and once a week to Wapenamunda for fresh vegetables for the base.
Fortunately a base opportunity came up for Daru
,where there was married accommodation so was able to bring my wife of nine months up to PNG.
