Cec was renowned for the scars on his head from his many tumbles... but he was never late for a 0400 start at work. Mind you he scared the airport staff when he was carrying food back to the catering shop and swerved to miss a turning 185 propellor. His mate Peter Black opened a restaurant at the Lae RSL and was last seen living on the Gold Coast about 10 years ago.
