US aircrew wings used to be made of silver (marked 'sterling). During WW2 they were also made in England by J.R.Gaunt & Son of London and hallmarked on the reverse. Any of those you can get your mitts on are very collectable. I know some of our guys used to get hold of USAF wings on trips to Offutt, etc, but I never had the foresight to do it myself
