Before you go on a rant, do be sure to get your facts right. The Jetstream is a turboprop. And that rant wasn't justified. It is not the airline or route that anyone is particularly worried about: people are more interested in steps in the right direction to get Bournemouth back on track. New routes (year-round) are those steps and by consequence it is only right to be positive about a thrice weekly (hopefully increasing next summer) service to Jersey.
If you want to be negative about the beginnings of growth and new routes, I would suggest that this is not the right place to do it. Everyone else on the forum has faced the reality that a once daily 747 service to New York is out of the question. Regular services on small aircraft aren't such a bad thing, and they are certainly better than nothing.
