The 120 aircraft will in some cases simply replace 737's currently on lease.
When they start arriving (Sept 2003) the initial batch go to Switzerland. 120 aircraft over 5 years means roughly a new aircraft every fortnight requiring 6 captains and 6 first officers.
Not that I know anything but I can't see that many aircraft all sitting on UK tarmac at night. The bulk of the new aircraft represent easyJets plans to open bases Sausage Side.
Not that, as EU citizens and JAA license holders, this should necessarily pose a problem for you.
I say necessarily because its never really been done before. Ryanair are the first airline to have serious bases out of their own country... Whether the French will somehow insist everyone hired for - say - a Paris base is fluent in French I don't know.
One hopes it all bodes well for UK Wannabes. Just don't expect any breathless calls from easyJet enquiring about your training progress...
