General question for the pilot group. In the past, aircraft type experience dictated the fleet selection at EK. Is that still the case or do you get assigned based on immediate fleet need? If you have A319/320 time, would the good odds be that you will get an Airbus fleet at EK if hired (to reduce training risk)? What are the odds with Airbus time you would get on the 777 fleet? Has that happened much (Airbus experience only getting 777 fleet)? I realise policies change.
Also, when will EK start to hire onto the A380 for FOs? Do those FOs need a certain amount of experience to be considered for the FO slot on that airplane?
