well you can forget about REX for any kind of future. Latest intel is managment are demanding pilots take Long Service Leave to I suspect, clear the books. Cadets, Junior F/O's and captains alike are leaving in droves for all the reasons so elequantly described earlier in this post. Poor Management ie interpersonal skills of the clowns in Management.

Leaving to where you might ask! Well, CX are apparently taking them REX bond and all, and providing a pay out figure on completion of CX training which covers the REX bond.

Emirites are about to announce a further order of 30 A380's which will only drive the frenzy for pilots further into next year. The previous 480 pilots will now increase to over 540 for emirites alone over the next 12 months.

REX has no fleet replacement program, treats is staff like ****, and is about to learn a very hard lesson in business. You can treat all of the people like ****, some of the time. You can treat some of the people like ****, all of the time, but you cant treat ALL of the people like **** all of the time.

My prophesy is that REX will retract from many routes blaming councils and Govt. for lack of support. Sky west will compete more heavily with the ATR deal making REX hurt even further. Passengers will realise the opposition provide a better, newer and nicer service and vote with thier feet.

Those who remained loyal to the company and/or could not re employ due family restraints, will end up with a log book full of useless hours on an orphan aircraft and at the back of the cue for any kind of career.

Those in REX who treated professional crew like ****, will have to then answer to them if they manage to get past the gate. It's a long road without a bend, as they used to say.
