I served with your father for a few months in West Berlin in 1982. He conducted my first familiarisation flight around the Berlin Wall. He was a gentleman and an all-round good guy. One of the others killed in the accident was a friend of mine. Taff, or Eighty-Four to his mates.
I was on duty at Oakington in '86 when the signal arrived telling of the accident. Sad day for me and the Corps.
