I just can't see IAG being allowed to buy bmi without qualifications. The MMC will have words on the subject I am sure, and most of them will be along the lines of BA being forced to renounce slots at LHR. Given that is where the value of bmi predominantly lies, why would they want to take on the problem - they'd end up spending money to buy the slots, then get forced to give up slots.
